Republican, Democrat, Independent alike should all rejoice if the current administration achieves it's goals and pulls our young men and women out of Iraq. Let's hope the next administration proves to be much wiser in its choice of battles to be faught.

Our presence in Iraq is an INVASION, not a war.The U.S. had NO excuse for invading. Iraq is NOT a cause of 9-11 and NO WMD were found, and were never present. We all hope our crimes against Iraq "get better". That is not the point. All GOOD Americans want our troups OUT of Iraq. We can NOT win an OCCUPATION.The Democrats are CORRECT : GET OUR TROUPS OUT of this disgusting killing ground ! We are killing and maiming, orphaning a people who have EVERY right to fight against INVADERS. Who would Jesus bomb ?AND kill ? bush is as Christian as my garbage can. This 'cartoon' is a completely stupid 'conservative' pile of propaganda. The 'artist' should be ashamed but undoubtedly is not ashamed. Conservative republicans don't have the grace to be ashamed of their sinful actions against America and other soveriegn nations.

It's sad to read editorials entitled "Bad News for Democrats: Progress in Iraq," as it's another reflection of the fact that - under our fearless "leader" - this nation is more divided than it has been at any point in our history since the Civil War. Red states vs Blue states; Republicans vs Democrats; conservative Christians vs the liberal godless; true patriots vs cheerleaders for Islamic fascism... Speaking as a godless, soulless, traitorous liberal, I rejoice that things are stabilizing in Iraq. At the same time, I fear that this does NOT signal the return home of our troops - they seem to be stuck there, a la Charlie on the MTA - as blood and funds must continue to flow until Iraq becomes the sort of democracy we used to have here.

As I understand it and has been being touted by this administration, and in the cartoon above casualities down, There are fewer car bombs being set off (this not indicated in the cartoon), sectarian violence is down, etc, etc.My question to Bush and company is how many American and Iraqi casualities were there before he sent in our troops to invade Iraq. And how many car bombs were exploded? How many... well you get the point.

Now if we hadn't only committed $2.4 trillion to bush's excellent misadventure, killing 4,000 of our young people, half a million Iraqs, and alienated everyone else, then it would have been a worthwhile "cakewalk". Vic Davey hasn't been right about anything this decade.

No one mentions that Sadar called upon his Mehdi militia to stop attacks the same time the SURGE(r) started. A cease fire that has continued despite repeated attacks by the US.No one mentions the SCIRI’s Badr which is not attacking US troops because they believe they will take over whatever is left after the US finally leaves. Their attacks will begin whenever they feel the US is getting too close to Sunnis.I fear the SURGE(r) will join the many other fake turnarounds over the last four murderous years of OPERATION IRAQ LIBERATION.The temporary calm is just that. Just another turning point of dozens over the last five years. God help the people of Iraq. Neither George Bush nor OPERATION IRAQ LIBERATION ever have.

It's good to see a cartoon by a patriot for a change and not some crap from your usual liberal hemorrhoids.
