Every leading scientific body of the United States, including the National Academy of Sciences, and their peers in countries around the globe, are in unanimous and detailed agreement that global warming is not only real, but clearly increasing in pace, with measurable effects. They also conclude, based on extensive measurements over many years, as well as into the far distant past, that the present warming is both clearly linked to human activity, and unprecedented in its rate of growth. Not a single word in your essay refutes this evidence. CO2 is dangerous because it acts to trap heat in our atmosphere, like a blanket. Life as we know it - with the present sea levels for example - will be changed as a result, and human societies and economies disrupted. There is nothing absurd or humorous about it. Any high schooler knows that too much of a substance is what creates danger. Oxygen, for example, will kill humans, as will drinking too much water. This essay is very much like the assurances the tobacco companies provided, when doctors in the 1940's and 1950's warned that smoking was linked to serious health hazards. Shame on you.
