That's the Hillary I know.

Posted By: macchiavelli  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Sophomoric.

Posted By: Glenn  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

"extreme right, knuckle-dragging conservative cartoonist"?  WTF Cagle?

Posted By: Jim-Bob  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

I thought it was going to be something insulting.  Good cartoon!

Posted By: woodser  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

It's funny but offensive. Hillary makes sense. Pay for what you spend now not later.

Posted By: Mike  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Perhaps we should continue the Republican plan of borrowing money from China to pay for our expeditures and let our kids pay for "through the nose" in the future.  Or, we could pay for things as we go.  Oh God Forbid that we would actually have to make sacrifices as a nations during wartime.

Posted By: Ken  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

A much more scary cartoon would show the tax cut, tax cut, tax cut, spend on Iraq, spend on Iraq, spend on Iraq Republicans who do this while taking health insurance away from the poor kids in America!

Posted By: Eden Eskin  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

So now the pundits are doing the same kind of negative job on Hillary that they did on Al Gore—attacking style rather than substance. When are we going to learn the consequences of attacking the brightest and best and letting the dumbest and most dangerous to our nation get a free ride?

Posted By: charles gillard  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

I would think it is time to wise up and remember there are some services the government can legitimately provide at a cost that doesn't include obscenely large CEO salaries and stockholder profits and fund it by taxes. Or would you rather pay per service for everything and let the poor go completely without anything in which case you may be subject to their communicable diseases too! Or you can fall for the same old anti-government, anti-tax simplistic formulaic statements. Maybe next time your house has a fire you'd better have your credit card on you. And maybe when we fight a war we should be able to pay for the treatment of injuries that may be involved for the rest of the soldiers lives. Or maybe we should all have a fake residence off shore in order to pretend we shouldn't have to pay taxes.

Posted By: Jan Reiter  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Just the name of Hillary is causing all sorts of jitters.  Good!!!  Too bad this country didn't have the jitters when Bush was elected again in 2004!!!  It is time for a woman to take command and starting another war is not a woman's first priority!!

Posted By: Beth Parker  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

The Trick was "Weapons of Mass Destruction", the Treat is the mounting body count and middle-class taxes thrown at this debacle.

Posted By: John  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Lame.  If this is the best the right wing can come up with on such an obviously easy cartoon day (Halloween), then I say "BRING 'EM ON!"  Look folks, we need to start paying for our services and benefits.  We don't need another neo con in the White House setting up more tax cuts for the rich while running up horendous debt our children will be strapped with for generations.  Oh yeah, I forgot, unprovoked wars in Iraq and Iran will pay for themselves...

Posted By: Bill Kubow  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Hmmm, it seems at about that time in 1952 she was learning or yearning to be a Goldwater Republican.  I pity her and the Republicrats and or the Republicans who takes over Shrub's mess.  Hopefully bombing  Iran won't cause too much extra trouble.

Posted By: George Awsumb  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Infantile in so many ways. What are people afraid of?  Her intelligence, her experience, her leadership qualities? After the worst president in our history, Hillary will be a breath of fresh air.

Posted By: Gil Miranda  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

The cartoon is OK but this McCoy guy is paranoid and not just extreme conservative, well, on second thought, I guess all extreme conservatives are paranoids ... being extreme conservative is a disease ... just like Bin Laden (brrrr) ...

Posted By: Chuck P.  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Everybody is missing the point. The democrats and replublicans are their own worst enemies. Both parties look so much alike that it hard to tell them apart. Neither party has much to put forward in the way of a candidate so it really does not matter you spell it. In addition no matter who gets the top job they will have to work with congress which is no mean trick. I don't see where there is any choice so I guess you just throw a dart that's your choice. WOW!

Posted By: Tom Baxter  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Vietnam, LBJ, RMN, Ford, Carter and Reagan proved we don't need to raise taxes now or ever, just monetize the debt.

Just can't wait till Hillary is able detain forever she declares enamy combatants. Thank God, GWB make it legal for her.

The bad thing is after years of victories in Iraq and Afghanistan, she will blow it all no matter how closely she follows the advice of the generals that suck up to her.

Posted By: Kathy S  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Why is it that the right wing is so absolutely terrified of smart females?  The chance to have two smart people in the White House instead of legions of imbeciles sounds so appealing at this point.  Or maybe we can re-elect some more cowboys to push the big old red button and we can all kiss our way of life (or life in general) goodbye.  If we can make it for X number of days through the rest of this presidency, the next phase has to be better.

Posted By: Richard Head  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Hillary couldn't take care of her husbands needs; how can she care for a countries needs. If she can't be trusted with the little things you can't trust her with anything.

Posted By: OrmondOtvos  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Lame. Two more and I cancel. Not the sentiment, but the quality.

Posted By: M Hovy  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Can she say "Weapons of Mass Destruction" the way Bill did during his entire term when talking about Iraq? Or will it be another flip-flop of opinion when she has to deal with Iran?

Posted By: Leroy Livesay  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

If you knew Hillary like I know Hillary after 25 years in Arkansas, you would know that this cartoon is VERY appropriate and true to life and the cartoonist is not a "Knuckle dragging" nut, just a realist who knows the truth.

Posted By: Marc Milton-Talbot  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Puerile!Would appeal to the bible thumping intellectually challenged.Republicans?

Posted By: Everett Hutchinson  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Not bad justawful—if you know what i mean.

Posted By: Angela Tyrrell  on Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Love the cartoon, hate the knuckle dragging conservative comment.

Posted By: Randal D. Wall  on Thursday, November 01, 2007

What's worse; "tax & spend" or "borrow & spend"?? The second choice is the politically cowardly way of getting elected by passing the debt to our children. If it's worth spending for, then its worth paying for----or don't spend the money at all. Federal debt interest was one thing when it was being paid to Americans, but now its going to foreigners. Irony is to spend billions to win the Cold War just to sell ourselves

to Communist China!!!!!???

Posted By: Carol Williams  on Thursday, November 01, 2007

I don't get it.  1952? Conservatives have to spoil everything.

Posted By: Sandra Loveland  on Thursday, November 01, 2007

I think it is interesting that all of you consider conservatives to be 'knuckle dragging' and 'paranoid'. Wait until Hillary gets into office and after a year see how you feel about her then. I find her offensive, deceitful, and totally irresponsible where our tax money is concerned. And stop insulting conservatives! We have a right to our opinions. We're not insulting you, so why should you insult us?

Posted By: Jag  on Thursday, November 01, 2007

Happy to see there is conserative cartoonist.Lets compare liberals are for filth on t.v. tax increases killing babies anty God and flag and America.hates to see any one get ahead by hard work and saving.never wants to defend this country.By the way you people had control of both houses of congress for 40 years how did we get in this mess. Now lets look at conseratives believe in God and Country and the good old stars and stripes. we believe in keeping what we earn except for charity which we give much more than liberals. yes we believe in lower taxes. take a look at porkbarrel spending. I make it I want to spend it.not give it to some liberal politicianto waste. and last but not least we believe in LIFE.

Posted By: Matt  on Thursday, November 01, 2007

Ummm.  In 1952, Hillary would have been espousing the REPUBLICAN ideals of her parents and from her Young Republican days.  I only WISH she was really a liberal.  The Conservatives can paint her as the bogeyman all they want--in 8 years, liberals will feel as scr*wed as they have after 8 years of the Chimp.

It is good to see a sane cartoonist in a field of liberal hemorroids
