s long as John McCain advocates all of Bush's policies re: the war in Iraq, he will never be elected. If he can't understand public opinion he doesn't even deserve to be considered.

That's a low blow at John McCain. He certainly has the best experience to be president without much contact with the PAC's in DC. What endeared him to us many years ago is still what can & should propel him to the office.

I do not actually believe that he will be elected President of the U.S.;however, he does have admirable moral fiber. Without a moral compass pointed in the right direction most of the time he could not have withstood the regors inflicted on him as a longtime P.O.W.

How can one describe this man's outstanding moral fiber after he scraped his belly crawling to the televangelists?

Hi Gary,I really appreciate your daily cartoon in the Seattle Times, and I appreciate most all of your political cartoons.Re McCain: I think McCain would be fine IF he had exceptional advisors. Whomever can beat Hilary or Obamaexcept Gulliani whom I think is very guilty of double speak and eradic, and his personal life speaks ill of him. (sorry about the spelling) I also believe that anyone who ok's the demise of the unborn cannot respect any human life. Merry Christmas! (oh!. Did I really say that?) sorry to offend...........

McCain has not expressed a new idea or concept in years. Too bad, seems like a fine chap, you could trust him to baby sit the kids, but lead this country, no way Juan.

Mr. Morrissey and any other whiney, loser democrats out and about, there is a big difference between public opinion and "Dem-opinion" as reflected in the last two elections. If the opponent cant beat the incumbent soundly, then forget a recount "squeaker". The country may not like being in a war but it sure doesn't want to lose another one like Viet Nam either. All of you loser Dem's cant seem to acknowledge the fact that you LOST the last two elections, better luck next time. Give us someone who stands for something and has a record to back it up and I send the same challenge to the Republacrats I see fielding this time out. Give us another JFK, or Reagan or even another Bush, Dubya that is. At least he understands some times wars pop up that have to be fought and above all MUST be won at any and all costs because their side claims to want U.S. all to be Muslim or dead, not much of an option on the "Right" side of our fence. Ever since WWII every conflict we have been involved in has to be fought on two fronts, home and abroad, thanks to the loser left..............God that felt good.
