This is the white flag Obama will fly over Baghdad when he has our troops in retreat.

Rubbish. Both the cartoon, and the outcome of the presidency if he wins it.Why go from bad(Bush) to worse(obama). Why not just put the person who checks out your groceries at the food store in as president.Same experience, same outcome.

Anyone notice the dark ominous clouds coming this way in the background? If this comes to fruition, that is exactly what is going to happen.

The anti-Obama rants above are sad indeed, but they indicate how far we still have to go before respect and equal rights are for everybody. Obama is a step in that direction.

People forget Obama is half white.

I'm sure MLK would be really proud of Obama's abortion stance (let them die even if they survive it). I doubt he would even be able to endorse him.

More like a molehill.Much of what Obama has to say is a rerun of a earlier speaker whether it be MLK, JFK , or RFK.

George Awsumb: I don't see any comments regarding Obama's race here, just that people don't think he'd make a good President. I don't care about race or gender myself, I care about voting records and a candidates stance on issues. From what I've seen, Obama is not the man for the job.

Couple comments, if I may:First, I just can't understand how being a POW makes John McCain a good bet for president with regard to fighting terrorism. I mean, yes, he fought in [a] war. Okay, so my father fought in two wars (Korea and 3 tours to Vietnam); I'm not sure that would've made him an expert on fighting or war, let alone a good president, though (actually, he turned his spear into a plowshare after his third Vietnam tour). That Mr. McCain fought is commendable truly. Not that fighting is a prerequite for being president (eh, Bill/George?). That he was a POW kind of concerns me, though; I mean, if you are GOOD at fighting, how do you become a POW? (Can anyone spell "DOH"!!) Shouldn't the fact that he got CAUGHT by the enemy of SOME concern? I mean absolutely NO disrespect, truly; I'm just asking the question I don't think I've seen anyone else ask. Ever. Certainly, not here.Second, okay, yeah, I can see how some might be afraid of Mr. Obama (well, really, I can't, but... knowing how steeped in fear big, bad brave America REALLY is I guess I understand it in the same way that I understand why "we" should also be afraid of every young blond-haired, blue-eyed, buzz-cut ex-Marine out there, too (I admit, though, I did think it "peculiar" that nobody went out and rounded ANY of these guys (let alone, a couple hundred), particularly the so-called "militia" types. And that no special prison was set up at Guatanamo Bay (or anywhere, for that matter) to interrogate THEM and get to the bottom of THEIR issues with the "guv'ment."I mean, we KNOW that young white guys commit terrorism, don't we? Sire, we KNOW it. We've SEEN it. We've even executed one and have another sitting on ice in the clink for it. We also know that the ONLY atomic bomb(s) that were dropped... EVER... were dropped by white... ummmm "christian"... Americans. (Don't hurry to be offended, folks - I'm a "christian," so I can say that!) And, yes, it's true: North Korea and Iran may be/may have been planning something similar (but we DId "go first," didn't we?).I can't, however, recall ANY African American guys... or gals... whether full-on black or only half-black... whether Christian OR Muslim... who've ever committed ANY terrorist act. Anywhere. Well, at least not on U.S. soil, anyway (what the government has them doing overseas, however, is another story entirely...).Folks, the only OTHER guys who've committed an act of terrorism similar to 9-11... and on U.S. soil... where white. ALL white. Not black... not half-black. And American. ALL American. Not Iranian-American, not Saudi-American, not anything American. Just American. AND... "christian." Not Muslim. Not agnostic. Not Buddist. Again, I can say this because I am a christian. AND... one of them was an ex Marine. Did military time. "Served his country." And yet... THEY EVEN BLEW UP AMERICAN BABIES! So, if I'm supposed to believe that (1) being white, (2) being "christian" (or, non-muslim); (3) serving in the military, and (4) having an "American" name (as opposed to one that "sounds" Muslim) equals a "good" president, then I say those who agree with that should've voted for Timothy McVeigh.Folks, as of today, terrorists come in all shapes, sizes, colors... and races... EXCEPT African American. And some even have "Mc" in their names. So does Mr. McCain. To convince me, therefore, that he's the "better" man... you've got to DO better and tell me it's because he was a POW.Shel (who wishes folks would take their heads out of their hind parts and TRULY get a clue)
Correction:"Folks, as of today, terrorists come in all shapes, sizes, colors... and races... EXCEPT African American. And some even have "Mc" in their names. So does Mr. McCain. To convince me, therefore, that he's the "better" man... you've got to DO better THAN tell me it's because he was a POW."Peace out!
