All this flap over a person's race...First of all, our nation's government determined if you had 1/4 African American blood, you're African American.  I think it's great that Obama is from a multiracial background, but so are most African Americans- I have Jewish, Caucasian, Native American descent.  So this calls into question, what race are most African Americans in the first place?  And just how relevant is this to the economy and other issues that affect all Americans.  To be sure, I'm very proud of Obama and his accomplishments as a man of color.  Let's not, however, get so lost in the elusive nature of race that has no real genetic foundation to begin with.
