John Cole has nailed it!  The unintended consequences of our energy policy (if it can be called a policy) are resulting in horrible food prices and consequent food shortages.  We need politicians who understand global issues, and we need someone in the White House with vision and comprehension.  That has been absent for going on 8 years and perhaps also somewhat before.
