Keefe may as well and more accurately have put the entire congress looking under the hood and only recommending spark plugs.

just another quick fix that does nothing....what about all the credit card companies that keep raising their intrest rates, underhanded practices....and on and on....their greed has the american people in a never-ending spiral to hell.....

Bush is not even recomending new spark plugs - just a band-aid.

Give me a break if you couldn't see this one coming you had to have your head in the sand.  Giving these crappy loans to people who couldn't afford them was just short sighted and greed driven.  This stimulus package is a joke and it puts a question in my mind that these folks running things don't have a clue.  Giving tax rebate is like giving a drunk a drink.  This is what happens when you go from a manufacting base to a consumption based economy.  The chicken have come home to roost and all these boobs in the senate and house are scratching their heads wondering 'How did this happen".

Reminds me of those persons who drove their cars until they stopped, and then expected the mechanic to fix it easily.  Hey, the driver is the one who has put everything he could on credit.  Didn't he think the bill would come due before he skipped out?

This picture is right on the money!! It is sad and scary to think where our country will be 20 years from now. It doesn't matter who gets into office in 08 they will only be there to clean up years of mismanagement. What a legacy to leave our kids.

Nice going. Bush has sold us out. We belong to China now.  From a surplus to a 9 trillion dollar debt in 7 years.

excellent cartoon it would be even funnier if it was not so close to the truth.Keefe reminds me of Herblock

Neither Congress nor the president are oblivious to the obvious....Washington is broken and they cannot fix it. A tax rebate at this stage will just be more money going down teh dark hole of the economy.

Bush doesn't know how to fix the economy.  He also doesn't
