These players have let down a whole generation of people who looked up to them. Millions of kids are not only disappointed but some will be influenced to try these drugs because their heroes do.

The only thing wrong with the cartoon is the child. We do not see the baseball player worship today as in the past. I believe we adults are more affected by this "scandal" than the kids ... unless you have a dad who is really into baseball. It is really a shame that pro-athlets feel compelled to destroy their lives with drugs, but I can see where they feel it is necessary to compete.

The meaning of the cartoon was not clear until I read the other comments. I couldn't make out what the child was clutching in his arms.

That is not true. There are many kids who look up to athletes just as much if not more than adults before them. It effects all the avid sports fans who have put their devotion to a "hero" only to find out they took steroids...as depicted with the kid.

first off mitchell and his report can go to hell, the last 20 years of baseball have been great who cares if some juice and some don't its been fun watching, would you rather have a pot smoking loser rep your sport "ricky williams" or people who are only trying to play better and longer I personally think this is become way to big of a deal, i'd rather see every athlete juice, than smoke pot or do hard drugs and end up on the news for murder, or other drug related crimes, in short this counrty spends way to much time worried about steroids and not enough about cocaine, heroin, etc. so F U mitchell!!!!!!

This issue is even if Jordan doesn't care, the majority of fans do care. That is the point. These players broke the rules and that is a big issue. It is a problem baseball needs to address just like any other illegal drug. Most fans want to see players that are not taking steroids or other drugs that will enahance their performance. There are negative consequences to long term steroid use. It is a good thing we are addressing the issue publicly.
