Maybe we just know too much about what our government does in the name of freedom.  Perhaps to some extent it is an over reaction to the government under envolvement in dealing with potential terrorists pre 911.  Certainly the goal is to prevent another large domestic attack and maybe any and all methods to achieve this goal should be considered by congress.  I think in this high tech era there should be non lethal methods to extract the truth.

Those tapes were destroyed not to protect intelligence gathering assets, but to protect the individuals involved. This administration has repeatedly violated the rule of law because the person(sic) at the top thinks the law doesn't apply to him.
