Of course Huckabee can't be McCain's savior. Without a miracle (or another stolen election) McCain doesn't have a chance. And whatever happened to the separation of Church & State?

"Separation of Church & State", Geoff? This is the Republican party we're talking about here! If ever there was a party of theocracy, they are it.Personally, I was hoping (unrealistically) they'd nominate Giuliani. If we absolutely must have another Republican administration (ugh!), far better that it should be a more moderate one.Notice how this author cites Rush Limbaugh as one of her authorities on Huckabee's desirability as a candidate? Does Limbaugh even have any credibility at all anymore?

Jonathon: I was maybe OD'ing the irony, there. Republicans, yeah: almost as extreme as their Muslim counterparts in some of those theocracies out east (which might be why they hate them so much: projecting their own theocratic fantasies onto their enemies, like the Nazis accusing Jews of dreaming of world domination).Guiliani: I never liked him: ran a police state until he was lucky enough to have 9-11 make him look good in comparison to Bush.Limbaugh: a drug addict, isn't he?

Yes, Geoff, Rush Limbaugh famously had an addiction to prescription medications, and used them in violation of federal law. Usually this would be a forgiveable sin, except that Mr. Limbaugh had repeatedly and publicly advocated for extremely harsh penalties for other types of drug offenders.I believe this contradiction makes Mr. Limbaugh a grotesque hypocrite. And that's one of his redeeming characteristics! You don't even want to know about his moral flaws!
