"But, then, these folks never seem to think anything through." True. Partly because they assume people just want and expect easy answers. And, given that, when someone like Obama does try to make a reasoned, thoughtful response, they're dismissed as "indecisive" & "nuanced" or "elitist," well... who else can you blame if you get the stupidity you deserve?

Once again Mr. Buchanan is correctly critical of the administrations foreign policy but "geoff's" contention that: Mr.Obama is a "reasoned and thoughtful" alternative is self-delusional. Any review of his positions from the onset of the campaign until today clearly exhibit indecisiveness and reek of elitism. They are also "nuanced" if you define it as "without substance".

Ima Freeman: I wasn't talking about Obama's "positions from the onset of the campaign until today," only his response to the topic at hand, that is: the problems in Georgia. Which are certainly a little less frightening than pointing of blame in the wrong direction. Obama at least seemed to recognise the "fog of war" better than the old Cold Warrior's knee-jerk bellicosity.
